The Anbernic RG SP is a slimmer GBA SP style clamshell on the Allwinner H700, with a 3.4 inch 720x480 screen and a D-pad only layout in place of analog sticks. Its price and release date are unannounced as of the July 2026 reveal.
The Anbernic RG SP is the slimmer follow-up to the RG34XX SP, a folding GBA SP style clamshell built on the same proven Allwinner H700 chip. Anbernic remoulded most of the shell, trimmed the body by roughly 10 percent, tightened the top bezel, and reworked the buttons for a better feel. The headline change is the control layout, since the RG SP drops the analog sticks for a clean D-pad only setup. That makes it a focused 2D machine that plays GBA, SNES, NES, and 2D PS1 beautifully, while giving up the stick-driven N64 and Dreamcast titles the RG34XX SP could stretch to. As of the July 2026 reveal, Anbernic has not announced the price or release date.
