The Anbernic RG477V is the smart money in the 477 family. It runs the same MediaTek Dimensity 8300 and the same excellent 4.7 inch 1280x960 120Hz screen as the metal RG477M, adds a much larger 5,500 mAh battery, and costs $20 to $30 less at every tier. Active cooling keeps PS2 and GameCube sustained, and the 4:3 panel is a lovely match for retro systems through PS2. Two caveats matter. The triggers sit too far outboard to reach comfortably while using the sticks, and the Mali GPU has weaker emulator driver support than Qualcomm Adreno, which caps Switch and PC emulation. For a retro heavy library, it is the best value flagship Anbernic sells.
