GameMT MTX

About this device
The GameMT MTX is a budget Linux handheld that plays physical Game Boy Advance cartridges as well as emulating, on an Allwinner T509 with a 3.95 inch 720x720 screen. It shipped in September 2026.
The GameMT MTX shipped in September 2026 and the Game Boy Advance cartridge slot is real this time, which is notable because GameMT teased one on the E3 in 2025 and then shipped the E3 Vigor without it. It pairs that slot with ordinary emulation on an Allwinner T509 with a PowerVR GE8300 GPU, a 3.95 inch 720x720 screen, 1GB-class Linux ARM firmware, 8GB of internal storage plus microSD, and a 3,000 mAh battery, at $94.99 list or $79.99 promotional. The open question is how the slot actually works. No source explains whether it is FPGA hardware playback or a cartridge reader feeding a software emulator, and at this price a reader is far more likely, which changes how saves and real-time-clock games behave. Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridge support is unconfirmed; GameMT names GBA only.
