MSI Claw 8 EX AI+

MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ retro handheld

About this device

The MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is a premium Windows handheld and one of the first on Intel's Arc G3 Extreme, with 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, an 8 inch 120Hz LCD, and Hall-effect sticks in a lighter, non-modular body.

The MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is MSI's flagship for 2026, and one of the first handhelds to ship on Intel's Arc G3 Extreme. It pairs that chip with 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and a large 8 inch 120Hz screen, so it has the raw power to run modern PC games at native resolution and emulate everything through PS3 with headroom. Unlike the modular OneXPlayer 3, it is a fixed, one piece handheld, and at around 785 g it is lighter and easier to hold for long sessions. It runs full Windows 11, which brings the usual driver and power tuning friction, and it uses an LCD panel rather than AMOLED. The open question is the same one that follows every Intel handheld: Arc GPU drivers still trail AMD for emulators. At roughly $1,699 and up it is a luxury pick for people who want the newest silicon in a comfortable, non modular body.
